STOMATA
Leaves have small holes in them called STOMATA.
These holes let gases in and out.
We discovered that there are more STOMATA on the underside than the topside.
This is because if they were on the top, they would get blocked by rainwater and dirt.
Also - holes on the top surface would prevent the leaf from absorbing sunlight.

FORCES
Force measured in Newtons with a Newtonmeter.
Types of force include GRAVITY, FRICTION, UPTHRUST, DRAG and WEIGHT (as well as PUSH, PULL, TWIST and TEAR).
Our revision experiment involved the weighing of masses in air and then in water.
Objects under water experience GRAVITY and UPTHRUST.
If forces on an object are balanced then the object will either be stationary or will be travelling at a steady speed in a straight line.
TO MOVE FROM LEVEL 4 TO LEVEL 5, YOU MUST USE THE WORD 'BECAUSE'.
Revision introduction
over the next 3 weeks, year 7 will be revising in preparation for their 'end-of-year' exam.
students will be working their way through Physics, Biology and Chemistry topics whilst aiming to show that they can work at the following levels -
the topics are
Physics - FORCES, ENERGY, ELECTRICITY, SPACE
Chemistry - METALS, REACTIVITY, REACTIONS, ROCKS
Biology - PLANTS, CELLS, DIGESTION, REPRODUCTION
